A decade after appearing on cereal boxes around the country, Doug Flutie is heading back to the breakfast table, this time to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Flutie Flakes.
The Natick native is set to re-release the cereal to stores this fall in a 10th anniversary box.
A large portion of the proceeds from the cereal's sale will go to support the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism. Flutie founded the charity in 2000 in honor of his son, Doug Jr., who was diagnosed with autism at age 3.
Flutie Flakes debuted while Flutie was playing for the Buffalo Bills in 1998. At that time Flutie started raising money for autism.
